Wow ! I'm impressed. YRC finally comes into the real world of trucking. By offering a service that many companies have offered, for years.

Yeah, so when they come to your door it'll be like this:

On your mark, get ready... set... go!

Driver arrives at your door for delivery (you don't have any guaranteed window crap on that truck, just some regular freight coming in).

You think the driver's gotta pee because he's dancing around and freaking out that he's gotta GO and you're thinking "bathroom - down the hall and to the left", he's thinking "unload meeeeeeee, puhlease, unload meeeeee..." as he bounces back and forth on his feet looking like he's late for a meeting w/ his drug dealer to whom he owes money.

By the time you get the forklift from the back of the receiving floor to the front of it (less than a minute) and pull up to his trailer door, flip the light on so you can see better into the trailer (5 seconds) and pull the dock plate so you can drive into the trailer (10-15 seconds), he'll have put "redeliver" on the bills, signed that you took too long and all you'll see is the tail end of the trailer as it pulls away... IF he even got it backed in, in the first place! :)

Have you done your history? Holland motor freight, T. N .T Holland, USF Holland has done this skilfully sense 1947 when they opened their doors. 500 hundred to 700 hundred miles overnight 85 % on or before noon, and in some cases 2 day freight was overnight , West coast was in side a week delivered. Operating in the low 80's. if you don't understand that ,its profit was 20 cents on the dollar. 90% claim free. Guarantee was started in the mid 90's with next day and two days or Holland would pay the freight charge if they failed to meet the time dead line.
So I don't understand why theses monkeys can't figure-out ( YRC) any body that knew how Holland operated is gone and a puppet is in there place and that's my opinion on YRC.

Hey, it's their "breaking" news story. Not mine.

So they called a press conferance to lie to their customers and the American public???

    Surely not :biggrin_2555:

Interesting that you should bring this up. This was my first thought, "so what condition will it be in when it gets there!"
