I defer to peterbilt_2005 here as he is familiar with this style truck. My only suggestion might be to run a mount on the driver’s side grab handle at the back of the fairing with a 5 foot tuneable top load antenna like a Wilson Silverload, or skip shooter, or Firestick. Run that ground wire back down to the truck frame from one of the antenna mount bolts. Like he said use the red and black dash power studs as long as it’s a 70 watt radio or less and you will have a good setup.

Ya been thinking of doing this to my head ache rack. That's why the 16' cable. I wanted the ability to push antenna back another 6' to behind sleeper.

I should be back in town we'd or Thursday morn. Up in @Ruthless back yard tommorow and tuesday. Mohegan Lake NY........way out of my comfort zone , but $$$$ is a motivator.

 

It's Velveeta cheese with a can of diced tomatoes and green chili's in it. The brand name of the can of stuff we use is Rotel so that's what we call it
