    I noticed that four days home a month is cheaper in a motel.
    Are there any services for having a mailing address and a small storage locker to call my home address as a trucker?
    I looked into po boxes and they require a home address. They told me about general delivery, but they return the mail if it's not picked up in a couple of weeks.
    Has anyone found something similar to what I'm describing?

    Okay, you have to have an address for your license so just use that address and get a P.O. Box at a U.P.S. store.

    My post office has not said anything to me about leaving mail in there 1-2 months at a time. Though the little box would be stuffed full, so I would recommend getting a bigger box. As far as the physical address concerns, I used a friends home address with there permission.

    One thing to consider though.

    If you have no home you are paying for, (rent, mortgage, taxes, utilities), then you are not eligible for the per diem of 52.00 for food expense while away from home.

    I was hoping there was some way I could get a "cubicle and mailbox" for 20-200 per month and that would count for license and everything as a home...
    I guess noone figured out a legal way to offer that apart from friend or family.

    I was thinking of getting married and having my wife ride along. Then we could put the housing costs towards buying a home down the road.

    It would be even cooler if it was offered with a fully furnished motel room when you are home. They can motel it out when you are gone.

    I guess I should keep dreaming.

    rent the couch space and mailing address...

    A UPS Store has mail boxes and will email you if you have anything to recieve.

    A PO box small will run you $40 per year. Depending on location they will leave a yellow card in your box and let you know if you have a package. When I say depending on your location, our post office if we let them know we will be out for a extended amount of time will hold our mail till we return. Otherwise post offices are required to return mail after 2 weeks.

    I feel bad for you that you are basically ''homeless' and live in a truck..I am so thankful i have a home and a family and many loved ones in my life .And after a hard days work or couple days(lol) i can come home to a very peaceful,loving,kind and caring home,to enjoy the fruits of my labor....

    you have helped me today by me realizing i have to be ''gratefull'' i have what i have today:biggrin_25525: and i am not ''living'' in a truck...thats a tough way to live.....

    I wish you well and i hope you can find your way to a ''home'' and not a p.o. box...
