Update from the road, well the trainer and I left VanBuren went about 1.5 southwest dropped an empty and picked up a load going to cleveland. When we hooked up found 1 tire off the rim and another low all tires were very worn pulled back to terminal got there they changed all 8 tires on trailer in about an hour or so. Then we headed out. Drove to just past Little Rock and stayed the night. Trainer drove out and to the West Memphis terminal where I praticed backing between trailers and we fueled up. I drove out of West Memphis and to Murfreesbrough Tenn stopped for a snack drove up Mont Eagle and back down was sort of nervous about that my trainer said I done good. Drove in to Cleveland and here we set oh thats right wherehouse wont open till monday morning. We are in a 09 prostar a really nice truck.

Hey Wantavw
Good deal on the no wait for the trainer. Im sure I seen or spoke to you out there in Arkansas. I was staying at the HOJO. I drove out and after two days of orientation, decided that USA was not for me, nor was I for USA. Im not downing the company its just not for me.
I was the big guy that wore a Georgia Hat and black jacket, drove the Ram 3500, Name is William.
Let us know how your experience is with usa, thanx and take care out there on the road -

Ok hello everyone been a while have not had a spot with free wifi, will need to work on that. Finished the first week with first trainer, he said that i was good to move on. Personally I think he needs more instruction on training, nice guy but did not do much instructing he sat beside me and I drove. I did not mind the driving but thats all I did, did not show any thing about logs, using the qualcom, or working with shippers or receivers. If I did not get back up exactly when and how he thought I should he'd get his panties wadded up jump up in the truck and ask me what I had done wrong, first I would try to figure out if I had messed up, then I would come up with ######## things like not asking his prmission to turn the wheel, forgetting to roll up the window after rolling it down, and other stupid things, he finally gave up and let me take my time. We did a fair amount of driving should have been more in my opinion. When we were coming out of Charlotte NC ran into snow and ice at black mountain this was a very interesting got to Waynesville and they had closed 40 through the gorge in to tenn stopped for the night. Trainer decided to drive the next morning ha ha ha took almost 4 hrs to go from waynesville to tenn state line. This trip was from charlotte to wichita ks driving out of wichita was the first truck accident swity or mini van had crossed th center line on I-81 very early in the morning. Drove back into the west memphis terminal and to meet up with the scond stage trainer. Be back with that story later. So far so good.

Does anybody have any good news or advice about USA TRUCK? I've been trying to find forums about them but they are pretty hard to find. I don't know if thats a good thing or a bad. I'd like to know how the pay/miles are, if you get decent home time. Etc. I'm sure they have their ups and downs but would like to know what they are. I've been with CR England and JB Hunt and went local for awhile and now i've lost my job due to a move and so far USA TRUCK is at the top of my list of who to go to but just would like to know about them. Thanks
