Engine brake won't turn off.

I don't have a part #, it's just a basic on/off toggle swich. It's a rather cheesy looking bracket that clamps to the shifter. You could probalby make something just as good or better.

Eaton has a nice assembly to put cruise control on the shifter, part # 5586032. It's a plastic housing with an on/off and set resume switch that bolts under the shifter. It's about $120.00 though, but it looks much better and easy to reach with your thumb. You could wire the on/off for the jakes instead of the cruise.

 

I have the cruise on the stick and I hate it. it hits my leg when I go in the low or reverse and I have to move my whole body over to get those two gears thanks though I'll keep looking for something

 

you guys are terrible! the poor guy just wants his truck to drive like a prius, whats wrong with that??! leave him alone!!!

AND HERES MY PROBLEM IF ANYONE CAN HELP.. Contrary to what i already said above about turning the engine brake off, i have a problem, but the other way around.. I drive an old beat to #### mack granite roll off #### truck. 2008 it is.. and these genius mechanics somehow were able to completely shut the engine break off alltogether. this blows. especially when im hauling loads downhill etc. Especially Especially When im driving down small philly streets and want to scare the dreamers..

So can anyone PLEASE tell me how to get my engine brake back on line??!! please, for the love of trucking and all the things we love about trucking..!

PS these dumb ##### had the jake brake disconnected too. i need that working as well. CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT. Thanks
