    If memory serves correct, if you test on an automatic your license will be restricted to automatics. Dont cripple yourself by not tackling the manual trans.

    I'm fine with that. Plenty of places are converting to automatics. Guy who drove manual passed and the company is making him drive automatics lol. So not worried about that but would like to practice in what I'm testing in and they are short on them at my school.

    However, many companies are NOT going to autos because of the downtime and maintenance involved. You may not always have the opportunity to choose.... Or worse, not being able to drive a specific truck in an emergency situation.

    You are paying for an education - make sure you get the full value of your tuition. My $0.02 for what its worth....

    If I have to learn down the road, fine but as of right now, will stick to my automatic. It works for me and the jobs I got pre hired for. But appreciate your feedback.
