That sounds like the right way to do it. A little more physical effort, but always get just the right amount of torque.
It's my biggest peeve about some of our shop staff. The dash panels on my 379 kitty were removed and re-installed with a power driver (at the very least several times) and someone decided to ream the bolts in nice and snug that the panels would snap or get a nice big divot in them.
I remember when I first got into the truck, I took the panels off to dust around the edge and all I needed was a screwdriver with the right torx bit and barely needed to put in any effort to get them undone and re-tightened.
If I owned the truck, I can tell you none of them would even get near her. -
What's your hitch look like I gotta build one?
-
6 inch tubing 1/2 inch thick with a fit wheel hitch pin and round 12 inch disk welded on one end. 5 ft long with a 1 inch U-boat welded on the other end to hook to. Not regulation but they don't care here. If you don't have a cross bar at the back of your frame to hold it up you can weld another 4 inch square tubing to sit across frame to hold it up. I'll get picks when I get home.
