    Hey Guys,
Have SDP Cat with a single turbo conversion at work and keeps putting oil into cylinder and leaks out exhaust
manifold. If the guy that put factory piston packs back in on rebuild and deleted IVA's I think that would be too much cylinder pressure? Already blew valve seals once.I thought you need to leave IVA unless you drop compression in these motors?

    Thanks, any info helpfull.....

What keeps putting oil in the cylinder? Turbo? How do you know? Bad air filter?
I thought valve seals were there to prevent to much oil from seeping down the stems. Causing a little oil usage or smoking on start up like old high mileage Chevys often did. Some engines did not come with valve stem seals and others only had them on the intake. The clearance between the stem and guide should be close enough to control pressure into the crankcase.
I also thought to much cylinder pressure blew head gaskets and or caused excessive cylinder temperatures.
Cannot talk about deletes here but I thank you are chasing the wrong horse.
We can talk about engine theory and the results of a malfunctioning IVA.

I was told on thesdp the effects on a malfunctioning iva setup are bad ...best to do a tune that uses the ivas ....lots of blown heads from "malfunctioning ivas"
