Well installed the Wilson mount cb works alot better, thanks. But as you can see in the pic there's about a half inch gap between the mount and base, what can I put in there to make up that gap? Thanks.

Get rid of that mount..wilson has a heavy duty mount thats by far more robust..

I like the lug style.
The ones with the 259 connection have plastic/nylon guts that can rip out if you over tighten them.
Not many people use the lug style, for some reason.... anyone have comments? -
