Well installed the Wilson mount cb works alot better, thanks. But as you can see in the pic there's about a half inch gap between the mount and base, what can I put in there to make up that gap? Thanks.![]()

I know what it is..Got a brand spankin new one home..Kept the mount and tossed the stud..
Its all about a good connection.. -
I like the lug style.
The ones with the 259 connection have plastic/nylon guts that can rip out if you over tighten them.
Not many people use the lug style, for some reason.... anyone have comments? -
Any gumdrop mount is junk. You’ll understand in about a month of running it if you do use it, if it makes it that long

This cb is mainly used for the asphalt plant. Not over the road use.

Doesnt matter..Its a poor connection and that will make any radios performance suffer
