Cabovers

Oh no. Not me. I left my spine in one of those #### things. I don't think Volvo learned anything in suspension school with those things.

 

Volvo still builds and sells cab overs, just not here in the US. And I’m pretty sure the FM/FH Globetrotter series uses the same suspension components as a VN series conventional tractor.

I saw a guy from Canada not long ago show up at one of our terminals driving what appeared to be a brand spankin' new Freightliner cabover. I totally nerded out seeing that thing, felt like a big kid ogling it.

Call me a communist, but I’d run that Volvo. Four and a quarter Cat with a 13 and 3.73s, I’m in.

 

Sure, if I had my druthers it’d be a 352,362, or K100, but I dig it.

 

Yup that's it! Just no critter smasher or dual steers, it was like the 2nd truck.

 

Then congrats, you may have spotted an honest to goodness Argosy glider, which are still available in Canada for now.

 

Sonofabitch I knew I should've taken pictures of the thing.

 

Spotted this Argosy at Pilot in Mauston,Wisconsin after refueling. It was pulling a trailer loaded with single axle RV campers. Had to take the photo quickly as a thunderstorm was rolling through the area.
