Seems Rand and garmin can’t get #### right. Push bottom spec devices running old android software that apparently don’t work and then charge 500$ for it. Pricks

I had a Garmin dezl 770. It worked ok though it did try and route me goofy ways a couple of times. I was bringing it inside one night at home to update it and dropped it while exiting the cab and now it won’t turn on. Been looking to replace it but not sure what to get.

HD_Renegade Thanks this. -
I just picked up a Dezl 780 LMT-S (Non Cam), i like it in alot of ways more then the many RM products, i have to wean myself off some of the things RM has this one doesn't, but dang that magnet is strong, and it looks built well, editing routes is easier, the phone app is nice.
some things i miss are the display of your current location, also you have to interact with the gps more than the RM to see mile markers and such, are their even weigh stations in the unit? i loaded a poi file from POI factory on it
also i dont know about arrival time, one of the things i really liked about RM was how they set up the arrival time, say travelling from OH to WA is the arrival time local or on your current time zone? -

I’ve always known the older garmins to factor in the destination’s time [zone] when computing an ETA. I never refer to this so don’t know if it’s a new issue. Maybe they’ve got a new bug to work out of the new ones

no its been the same, i primarily use the GPS as a time management tool so i will keep an eye on it,
the only weak spot in the mount is the movable arm, if you hit bumps it wont stay in place, but the magnet is stronger than my ex wife's mental issuesJustrucking2 Thanks this. -
You’re going to be cussing that strong magnet in a few months when it messes with the suction cup and won’t stay up for more than a few days.

Also go-to settings, navagarion, map and vehicle, and then map tools to add or remove items from the trio data screen. -
I got the menu settings, Thanks Renegade
i like the Dezl 780, the ETA was fine, figured that out
couple of things i would like to see would be having a cycle between ETA and remaining distance, and seeing which city you are in as opposed to the highway, this GPS requires a bit too much interaction to see information
