Is the check engine light easy to read when it de-rates? How realistic are we talking? Like does the onguard radar go off coming up to an overpass and slam on brakes? Can you buy zip ties for plastic flapping truck parts?

I love watching motor rebuilds. I've seen at least 4 CAT's come together from the bottom end up when I was working in the office. One full out-of-frame. If something happens that I ever have to stop driving, I'm fairly certain that's what I'll want to get into. I love that meticulous building of something.

We'll see. Hoping the counterbores aren't cracked too bad. If the head is good (which I doubt) it'll get 6 new cylinders, injectors, water pump, bearings and all the gaskets and seals done. Would like to juice it up to 400-425 too. With a single 3.73 rear it should have some good snap to it then.
