You may think there would be a better economy, but once these US and Canada tariffs SET then there won't be as much truck movement. I ve noticed shorter and less trips in the recent month or so to the US as we buy less and less US freight. But interCanada is getting more steady
New rules coming regarding HOURS?

Because you are making up a scenario that doesn't exist to fit your argument. I believe they call it rationalizing.bryan21384 Thanks this.
-
Look, regular jobs are being created and factorys are getting busy. Why do we bother driving anyways? You can make the same money in McDs flipping burgers and be home every night, instead of wasting your precious time delivering freight to these whiny useless corporations
-
And I keep beating my own mark. How is that possible?bryan21384 and 06driver Thank this.
-
No, they call it giving an example. Or are you going to claim you never have to turn down a load because of being short on hours?
-
I believe when Mexico and Canada shut down on the whole Nafta bit, the only freight moving within the US will be US freight. Mexico is not going to pay for the wall, Canada is not going to end dairy supply management, and China could wipe all our a-sess economically off the board if they wanted to.

And I log 100% legal. It's incredibly difficult to run out of hours, and I cruise in the low 60's, and do a lot 55 states.
You haven't noticed that there is plenty of time to get from point A to B on these loads?
If your not arriving with plenty of time to spare, your not running your truck efficiently.
During the day, there's 50,000 loads on the board. 50,000. You can't find one that will make you any money?
You gonna say your in an area where that unicorn load was the only way out? How'd you get to that area? Who put you there?bryan21384 Thanks this. -
I'm booked out until the 2nd September. No gaps. Almost 0 DH.
I said in a previous post, that I guess you missed, so I'll recap, in 14 months, there's two load I didn't take do to hours.
And one was the most money I'd ever seen from that particular place to the other. But just because it was the most, doesn't mean I didn't do real well on the one I could take.
Your argument has no merit. -
Hell my neighbor drives for you guys. He does 5 day rounds. Always comes home for two or three days a week.
bryan21384 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
You're not running hard then. I routinely log over ten or eleven hours a day. And I often run short on hours.
Irrelevant. The issue is hours of service, not appointment times.
Again. The issue is hours of service, not appointment times.
Not if I don't have the hours. And the issue is not that I can't find anything, but that I sometimes have to pass on loads because of a rule I disagree with.
Nope, didn't say that.
Drove there.
I did.
