No, I don't think any of that is nonsense. I was speaking specifically to people who want to be judge, jury, executioner. Thank you for your response I appreciate your point of view. I have the utmost respect for the industry and those in it. There are tremendous sacrifices that are made to move those trucks, I understand that and give respect to those that do it. I only hope to be in the field one day soon.

As a side note, it is my understanding from my experience with my foreman who was under a PO for a time (Don't ask me please, he's dead now RIP) and watching what he had to go through to stay free was not freedom. He was no longer in jail but the system made sure that the entire area we lived and worked in stayed like a jail.

Eventually the courts finished with this foreman and he was absolutely free (Actually acquitted believe it or not) but during that year of his life he was not free, even at work with me in our paving operation.

You need to be free from any court action, any supervision from PO and anything like that. Absolutely free to do as you please within the current laws that apply to you. Then you can go into trucking and enjoy what good it might offer. But if you are not free from the Legal system and stuck in supervision then you cannot be in a big truck 2000 miles away if the court decides to issue a bench warrant or something.

    I will welcome you.

Just remember school teaches you just enough to drive the DMV test without mashing people. Your real learning will be bought with your tears, blood, fear and sweat after you are given your first load.

Yes it is sad when people judge you for something you've done in your younger days if you've learnt from it and moved on, then good on you, the idea of incarceration is to rehabilitate the individual somehow overall the system generally is a complete failure prizons are just a total waste of money really anyway hope you find a company, there are quite a few current drivers in here that will have good advice for you and steer you in the right direction.

Yes, Carolina Cargo will probably hire him.
I think the best paychecks will be with Florida Beauty Express, but at least he has 4 companies to consider now.
Florida Beauty Express is pretty close to where he lives and they allow unlimited time off after each California turn. Probably "take home" a thousand or more weekly.

Did you try Stevens Transport; they train in Tampa. (I still think the best pay is with Florida Beauty Express, which is teams)
