Everybody take a deep breath and slow down! You can't back up as fast as the old timers, YET. Calm down and slow down. I am sitting at a Love's, facing the fuel islands. A whole lot of real estate for you to position yourself and do a straight back-up next to my truck. What do you do instead? Come in like a nascar driver into the pitstop, start backing and swerving like a possessed snake, almost ripping my hood off in the process. I am having a nervous breakdown cause there's no "safer" spot than this one BUT you're ruining it for me.

I can park next to you next time. Im like Captain straight line, and slow too, 4-ways clicking away... But then youd have to deal with my reefer.

Your reefer is welcome any time if I can keep my hood intact!

I watched a few rookies try and back slow with some of these older "automatics". It was like watching a cow jump around with a monkey up it's butt. You could just hear Yackity Sax playing in the background and expect Benny Hill to pop out from behind a truck and start running around.

Not far from balls out or nothing.

Mr Wriggles used to get teased, punched and roughed up a little bit back in the day.

I don't know why there is such a hurry to back up. God knows they need all day to drive forwards.

    HE HE HE...

I see this from time to time, but I typically get the feeling this is not a "new driver" as much as either a driver who might have originally learned to drive in another country or is in that phase between "not being new and not being well seasoned" ...like maybe they've been out here 12 months, maybe 18 months, and to the point they get ####y and believe they're much better and more "experienced" than they really are, and haven't developed that "slow and steady gets her done right" patience chip in their brain

Please tell me they don't hop the whole frame from fuel tanks all the way forward trying to make it happen.

The village idiot was parked next to me whacking the crap out of his backup alarm last winter. He told me it wouldn't shut off, I was amused. Another driver watching this moron finally told him if he shut his utility lights off the backup alarm would shut off.:D
