I always figured in your neck of the woods it makes more sense to load late and ride at night just to get around all the traffic...
Are the late nights more commonplace for you or is this really more of an extra money in the bank kinda thing? -

As long as you pull on the Cat scale and release your service brakes and let everything settle you're ok to set the tractor brakes. It won't change the weight as long as you leave the trailer released.Zeviander, ShooterK2, 4mer trucker and 7 others Thank this.

And not to mention he has warrants for running a bird dog, overweight, bypassing a toll road and not paying an over length fine in Rhode Island. Ruthless is slicker than owl ####, don’t be fooled.

I kinda figured as much... honestly...
Didn’t see any logical reason against setting the tractor brakes as long as I gave everything a moment to settle... especially when I set the brakes to weigh the spread anyway
More or less just creature of habit for doing it the old way. But with that bloody door alarm I’ve been pulling the brakes the last few weeks... -
