    You know...

After all the time I’ve spent on this industry the biggest thing I need to work on is my Spanish and dealing with folk from south of the border...

Houston pipe yards test my patience. I miss my dog.

Holy Monsoon!!! Did anyone else come through that torrential down pour on I80 near Omaha this morning??? I was east bound through there this morning at about 5 a.m. central time... That was the worst rain I have ever experienced in my life... And it was coupled with some decent winds as well. It was bad enough that several trucks and some 4 wheelers where pulled over with their flashers on... At times I was slowed down to 45 mph for visibility and/or traction reasons. I had the wipers on this Volvo going as fast as they would go... I may as well have just left them OFF for the good they did. I saw at least four 4 wheelers that had presumably hydroplaned and went in the ditch.

    You crack me up..

11 o’clock appointment. I spend thirtyminutes screwing with Melton to get the proper release number. 20 later I roll into position.

My day has been rough but I got a little perspective coming onto Presidents Island. Grain hauler has the inbound side shut down because his drag link came loose and the right tire and rim aren't cooperating.

Outbound side a tanker stopping for the RR tracks was rearended by an Impala who buried it up to the windshield. I'm here now on what could be my 2nd 30 minute break since they have gone to lunch. At least I get to catch up and see what's going on at the TTR.

We get those unwanted breaks in the patch from time to time. It sucks. And what sucks even more is that about half the time we are in the middle of nowhere with no cell signal, so no TTR.

It’s enough to make ya wanna slap somebody I tell ya.

My therapy has been in the form of beating tandem pins in to no avail and having to beat the left door shut at every stop.

Awesome update: been sitting here an hour and ten minutes and someone just informed me the recvng dept didn't come to work today. Oh so that's why they scheduled a delivery. The good news is she is going to see what she can do.

Aren’t ya supposed to be of the generation that played outside and climbed trees, went into the woods and poked crap with a stick, and always told me to get off my phone?
