You know...when I do finally toss the keys... y’all will be hearing about it...
I just got a pretty substantial raise recently. I ain’t one to talk personal pay on here but...I’m gonna need to have a really ####-all week to net less than 1000 nowadays... basically guaranteed that at the minimum unless I break down or get food poisoning again.
Long as I average 2500-2600/week I’ll be alright.
There’s better #### out there — I ain’t blind. Tough to complain though, content right now in a weird kinda way.

What was puzzling me was that everything worked perfectly before they broke the antenna and then after I replace the antenna I had the problem. I went ahead and check the continuity of the shield in the center wire and how good the ground was on the mount and all that stuff just to be sure. After doing all that I decided it had to be the antenna and despite it being new something was wrong with it. That or I just had the wrong antenna for my coax, but I don't know enough about it to know what's good and what's not. So I finally purchased another antenna and this one works as well or better than the original one I had on here. Perhaps the length of the antenna was the issue as replacement antenna was 6 inches shorter than the original but both the same brand and type.
Anyway, all I want to do with it is to be able to hear and speak clearly when we need it to pilot an oversized load like we did yesterday. I got by yesterday with my wife piloting me, but the second antenna that I put on today is much better and the antenna warning light no longer comes on. I know you can't trust the in-radio swr meters, but with this antenna the needle didn't move on 20,
and just barely moved on 1 and 40.
I should have asked you first but didn't want to bore the group with my trivial little antenna problem.1951 ford, snowman_w900, Zeviander and 11 others Thank this. -
I think you've earned it!1951 ford, snowman_w900, Zeviander and 9 others Thank this.

No problem, I’d be glad to help. Glad the new antenna works, the shorter one was probably reflecting off the roof a little more showing higher swr. Francis makes good antennas, you can’t go wrong with one.1951 ford, snowman_w900, Zeviander and 9 others Thank this.

One of those days.
It's 0630 and I start rockin' and rollin'.
Next thing I know it's 1700 and I'm being told to take my butt home. What happened in between was a blur.
Just the way I like it.1951 ford, snowman_w900, Zeviander and 9 others Thank this. -
Is that a 10 foot deck or 8 foot.1951 ford, snowman_w900, Zeviander and 6 others Thank this.
