Does anybody know when May will be hiring from California again?
-
How about an update from those that are still running for May. Are you still just as happy or is it going south.?
-
I have been here 13 months now and i am still getting miles, respect, feel appreciated via my DM.
-
Well that is good to hear Bigray thank you. I start orientation the 23rd out of the Denver yard. They were not my first choice but then after the position I wanted fell through they were about it for around here. It will be kinda nice to do orientation close to home I hope they can get me a truck from here as well.
One last question er two of them. Where do they fuel the most and do they use ComCheck or T Check?
Thank you again -
Hi Cethern! I'll be seeing you in the orientation class on the 23rd as well. Drove down and did all my paperwork this morning. Pretty excited and nervous at the same time. Just graduated from school last Saturday and am looking forward to getting out on the road. Cya there!
-
Cool Beans Efon! Congrats on the Graduation, I'll see you there

I still have friends there so I stay up on all there stupidity.
Like they require you to put on chains ANYTIME there is snow on the road Thats right sports fans. Doesn't matter whether the state is requiring them or not NOR how much driving experience you have. ALL MAY drivers MUST put chains on when there is snow on the road. ANY snow. If you don't you will be fired and it will go on your DAC as faller to follow company rules.
They just let two drivers go last week for this. This company is so bad you would be better off working for Swift.
To answer your question they use ComData and they fuel mostly at pilots. But you will rarely fill up or put in more then 100 gallons at any one time. be ready to log 2+ fuel stops ever day. -
Kabar:This my reply to your PM seeing how I'm not able to send a pm yet which I find silly.
I talked with Knight and seeing how I got out from behind the wheel 2 plus years ago they would not talk to me even after I was told twice I would be qualified!
I don't really want to pull a refer to much of a pain in the back side for me but I need to get back on my feet after not working for a couple of months hurts the bank acct.
My choice in going with May came from a few reasons one being they did not take weeks to make up their mind, I can do my orientation here in Denver so I can load up my crap here and not have to wait until they feel up to running me by the house.
While I was at the office fulling some paper workout I ran into a old friend that worked with me a few years ago and became a truck driver after me telling him that it's not a bad life, So far he has been with May for three years and is very happy he will be leaving in a couple of months he bought his own truck and will move Taters from southern Colorado to Texas.
And with the research that I have done on May I have found very little in the way of bad reviews if you compare them to Swift or Navajo where I worked both as a driver and in the office for 4yrs, Or some of the other bigger companies.
If you read my other post I stated that May was not my first choice, My first was to take over for a Owner Op friend of mine that has some Med Issues and can not drive, He now wants to wait and see the out come before I take over his 320in Pete.
In the mean time May will have to do for now.
I hope that where ever you work at now treats you better than you got while you where at May.
I will not comment on the chains or anything else until I get the Truth from the Company.
