Richie Incognito has always been a whack job. That's a lot of weaponry there. He threw a pretty big tantrum in that funeral home
-
but aren't "silencers" illegal...???
-
If I'm not mistaken, yes.

I believe a federal tax stamp and an expanded background check are all that are required to purchase a suppressor. I also believe the last time I checked, the federal tax stamp was in the neighborhood of $7,500. Your states laws may vary though.Swiss Mountain Dog and buddyd157 Thank this.

then (i'd hope) that would be enough to lock him up for a while.....
i think he needs to be locked up before he goes on a shooting spree.... -
ok, i can "see" a "secret agent man" having a silencer.....but an "ordinary person"...????
-
wow...i had to look that up
What states allow silencers?
Currently, the following 42 states allow private ownership of suppressors: AL, AK, AZ, AR, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, NC, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV, WI, WY.ACO476 Thanks this. -
Again, laws may vary state-by-state. They're legal here in Texas as long as you jump through enough hoops. I have a friend who has a suppressor for a 9mm Glock.Swiss Mountain Dog and buddyd157 Thank this.

Depending on state, no they are not illegal... But buying one does put your name on a Govt list... Similar to the list your name goes on if you buy out of the ordinary firearms... Such as a .50 caliber rifle.
