Hi my name is Roger and I currently work for Simons Trucking out of Farley,Ia. I just happened to come across your post sorry it's a couple months late but maybe it'll help ya anyway. Simons is one of the best carriers I've worked for the miles are good the home time is great they don't push you or really boss you, it's really laid back. The trucks are wonderful all have refrigerators they run 72 mph. The longer you stay the nicer the truck gets.we run paper logs no computers you make 1 call a day. I'm glad I found them. By they way right now they have a 1,000 sign on bonus if you could if you decide to fill out there app pls put Roger wheeler referred you and my truck number739 on the app every little bit helps hope I helped ya.

They have an assortment of trucks; but mostly Freightliners. All their trucks (regaurdless of age), look and run like brand new. They take VERY good care of them.
When I drove for them, they required me to leave the truck in the yard on home time....and I live nearly 85 miles away...so the round trip commute got to be too much for me, that is why I left them.
However....that was about six or eight years ago....so policy may have changed (on taking truck home).

I got great miles (and paid by hub), and drove great equipment, and was home every weekend unless I took a load to Seattle, then from there to L.A., then up to Salina, KS....then back to Manchester, Iowa (all Excide battery related freight)---GOOD MILES!

I ain't gonna lie....I had it made with these guys; just couldn't stand getting off work and driving an hour and a half home....then knowing when it was time to go back, I had an hour and a half drive before I had to drive.

As far as "where do they run"? Well, I did the round trip I mentioned above quite a bit, but when someone else wanted it, I had to give it up for a couple weeks (spread the love), and I did a lot of Muncie, Indiana / Reading, Pennsylvania / Bristol, Tennessee / Salina, Kansas---basically anywhere you find an Excide Battery facility, there is a good chance of going there.

I looked at them. But for me their health insurance was too expensive. It is age based and for me and my wife it was $350.00 a week, we are both over 60.

Simon recruiter called me today to tell me that’s there was an update and my insurance is actually $432.00 a week. Didn’t want to be giving out false info. Right. LOL

    HAHAHAHAHAHA.....

No.. let's skip the haha. Go straight to HAW HAW HAW HAW.

    That's awesome updating from 350 to 4something.

Im sitting here looking at a 36,400 dollar medicine on the table waiting for the insurance outfit to pay it. IF they pay it... A little over 3000 dollars a month for 60 doses... close to or around 50 dollars a pill.

Hell if they handed me 100 dollars cash daily I don't need no medicine. I'll make myself better.
