No one can hear me

    I hear cb ers talking from North Carolina, Tennessee clearly but they cant hear me,just wondering. Thanks.

    Ok was just wondering. I mostly use it for the asphalt plant. It came with the truck nothing fancy uniden pro 510 xl.

    I have the pro510 from 1997 and I only took it out and replaced it with a fancier one because I wanted the weather alert and sideband; Otherwise it still works great and I got great radio reports on it until I took it out of the truck after 21 years.

    You need to hold the button on the mic in while you talk. You can’t just scream in the general direction of the radio.

    It's called skip, distance operators who you are hearing.

    It isn't hard to do, talking to them, but somewhat it is a crap shoot.

    You don’t have to have a high powered radio to talk skip, I’ve done it many times with a Cobra 29 barefooted. Of course it’s a lot easier with more power, but not impossible.
