Learning a language is a good idea because you are alone in the truck and if you have the grit you can just practice over and over and over again.
Really anything new that you can learn helps your mind. Even if you listen to a podcast and it gives you some different idea or knowledge about a subject.
If after you shut it off you spend some time thinking about it and going over it and trying to recall everything that was said it stimulates your mind.
It might sound funny but if you thought about it like as if you were trying to teach it to someone it makes you really think harder about it. You will realize you have gaps in recalling everything that was said, and that was stimulate your mind to think further about it. Then if you think about your own point of view relating to it, that can further stimulate your mind.
Audio books are great also. They stimulate your mind and you learn something new.

Omg... Id do it. And I am the worlds worst singer. Completely monotone. There Will be lench mobs after me within half an hour. I'd be in my truck belly laughing as the pitchforks walked by. You shouldnt plant those ideas in my head.Chinatown, intrepidor, KillingTime and 1 other person Thank this.

Why not start now? Find a batch of Mexicans and get started. Alto = STOP.
I have a little french from Ontario, a spot of German from the mountains east and a dab of Spanish here and there. Nothing truly adequate. Even a little bit of International sign language which can be dynamic and taught as you go along with someone converting to Galludet Alphabet english. As long you have that as a foundation you can talk to anyone in the world. Even a little Russian if necessary.
I can imagine the internet to your phone that transfers to your truck cab speakers etc would offer more possibilities or even my favorite, satellite radio.
Ultimately learning the history of a given area is where it's at. For example St Marys was going to be (Chesapeake Bay) was fixed as a military naval attack by british ship of line to come up and bombard it into oblivion one night. The town got word prior. Collected all of the lanterns, candles etc. Hung everything in a wood down the water a ways from the town carefully arranged to look like St Marys where possible.
The british came up saw the lights of what they thought was St Marys, settled in and opened fire. Then went away after a time. They never realized that they shot up a patch of woods. -

I don't bother with road rage, I just think about tapping that 18 wheeler's bumper behind that idiot's rear wheel and apply a touch of power for a moment. That would be that too.
Thankfully I never follow through on my little scenarios.
