Well pretty sure today was a record....2.5hrs and I was out of that place. Pretty sure thats the quickest I've ever been loaded there.

That’s a common mantra in the LTL world. Back in or walk in first.

In almost 2 year's time, I had one preloaded trailer there. Been there at least a dozen times, and just one preload. It makes you wonder what that spotter is doing all day. Millis is paying him for something, although for what I have no idea. 2.5 hours is pretty awesome. I think my longest was 7. Had to do a 10 there as a result, and the load was late. Oh, the memories.

You know... I've only been there once and it was with my trainer and our traier was loaded. I remember telling him "I love this place" because I didn't have to talk to anybody. I loved just going in and putting my info into the computer and walking out with my bills and seal.

Glad to know that it's not always like that so I don't get excited the next time I get a load out of there.

On a different note: I had a ####### pulling a camper nearly merge into me on I55 in Illinois today. Either he wasn't paying attention to his mirrors or he forgot that he was pulling a 35 foot camper. I had to slam on my brakes, which set the camera off. Dan is going to get to hear me spew out every swear word I know in a single breath when he watches that video.

I really think Class D drivers should be required to have an endorsement on their license before they are allowed to tow anything. It should require a written and a skills test. Of course that'll never happen, but I can dream and rant.

Only had 1 preloaded there myself. Was surprised when it happened. The rest were live loads. I never had the long wait time experiences you guys have had.
Always wondered what the yard guy does there myself. Besides there rarely being a preloaded trailer the place is small.

I must be the exception, I was thru there probably 10-12 times and only had to live load one time. I don't remember how long it took so must not have been really long.

This could be, and probably is, a load of crap, but I was told once that the pre loaded trailers, or lack there of, has to do with the employees. Something to do with the wording in their contract about pre loading but not required to?

Doesn't make any sense to me, just what someone told me once.

Told another driver at Lexington once, the only reason I like going there is because I know where it is.

I have always believed I have a black cloud following me. And here's a great great example. Yesterday I stopped in Lebanon Junction in KY because I needed a 30. I got back out on 65s and 20 minutes after I started driving, I got to an incident on the road where I was in stopped traffic and got an unintentional 40 minute break waiting for that situation to get taken care of. Unreal.

Well had a great start to week but ended well.... I finally got my own truck and a 19 to boot. Great week took it home to load out and this morning I found out my mother passed away. Shes been sick and in a home. Amazing how life works throws you a happy and tears it down right after.
    Taking some time off.
