I'm still building. I'm about halfway through the second one of these. When I get done with it, it'll be time for "Clean Up the Shop Week" at my place. I applied for and got the paperwork to generate VINs, so I'm venturing into some small scale trailer manufacturing.
My latest creation. They purchase the skid unit, then we modify it to work for what we want. Mount the skid unit and other brackets and boxes, build the tool tray, walkway and light bar mounts. The fuel tank was on top at the back, beside the hose reel. There really is no good way to get up there to fuel it, especially when you're in a hurry. We welded 2" aluminum square tubing under the factory mount for clearance (it draws from the bottom of the tank), and relocated it to "ground level". Everything attached to the bed has a weld nut underneath the bed. That way you only need 1 socket or wrench to disassemble, and you don't have to pull the bed to remove the skid unit.
1 down, 1 more to go (identical unit).
