Most likely antenna given you’ve covered all the other bases. Checking SWR with an external meter? It’s a service truck bed I’m assuming? You may have better luck with a fiberglass antenna getting over the cab.

Thought I would report back, turns out I had a combination of problems. I stopped by Wolcott CB there near the Iowa 80.
My transmit issue was caused by a bad microphone, my receive issue is that apparently my radio Has a distortion on the receive. So when I would receive something it would cut in and out .thanks for your help everyoneshogun Thanks this. -
Very interesting that your backup radio had the same problem, if I’m reading your post correctly. The main thing is that you got it fixed. Thanks for the update.

Thank you, and yes you are reading that correctly. Now I've got a 29 LTD in here, he had a used one that he got me for a pretty good price already peaked and tuned

Good deal, glad you’re happy with your new radio. I also own a PC68XL radio, and It’s a good radio too. Kind of hard to beat the sound of that Uniden silver stock mic they come with.
