I generally think Non-Fiction audio books are better since each section or chapter is presenting seperate yet related ideas.
Also helpful are Comedy Audiobooks.Redtwin Thanks this. -
I like to riff lines to my favorite movies out loud.
I'm currently working on the Alec Baldwin speech from "Glengarry Glen Ross".
There's a lot of material in "Pulp Fiction" and "Full Metal Jacket", too.
When I get tired of listening to music, I just shut it off and listen to the road. I find the engine noise and the tires on pavement noise rather calming.
Your time to get off the road will come, in due time. Meanwhile, relax and enjoy these days, because the day WILL come when you miss them.
Happy trails.... -
Get Sirius satellite radio. It's only a few bucks a month.
TravR1 Thanks this. -
Sirius/Xm is a great investment, wide variety of music, talk, comedy and sports. Never lose the signal from coast to coast. I couldn’t drive OTR with out my satellite radio.
TravR1 Thanks this. -
I listen to all that too.

I’m a thinker. Don’t listen to anything.
I do admit. I’m having to watch myself. Sometimes so deep in thought. I’m autonomically locked in the middle of the lane. Truck coming the other way. I fail to hit the white line. I kick myself for doing that. -
Why do people always swerve way off to the white line when they're meeting another vehicle, makes me start wondering if they're paying attention to the road or their phone.

Lol I am the same way been driving 10months and I normally listen to podcast/music but again I don't want to do this forever, I normally just brainstorm in my head of how to make money, I can't imagine doing this when im 80, I am 27 by the way, which when I went to Roehl there was a guy that was 79 needing a job. Just look at it as a stepping stone and where you can invest in next maybe own some trucks and put drivers in them or buy real estate or atm machine routes, large cap stocks or any stocks or a cheap franchise to get started, to make money for you while you sleep. Good luck and use those hrs on the road to get the wheels turning in your head on how to invest and make more money

There are more podcasts than there are cable TV channels and satellite radio programs. Maybe you just haven't found the right podcasts to listen to. I've been listening almost exclusively to podcasts for nearly 20 years. It's free, it's on my schedule, they're never preempted by baseball games or some politician telling you how important he is. Commercials disappear by holding the fast-forward button for 3 seconds.
