I'm just curious if any owner operators out there ever hire a team mate seasonally or otherwise to help them drive more miles, maybe a better rate than what these super carriers are paying?
Do owner operators ever hire "teammates"?

One posted on here the other day, looking for someone to run teams.
Scroll down to the jobs threads and maybe find it.amanwithcrabs Thanks this. -
I did back in May and had to lay him off due to lack of work.
He and I will go back out real soon when it picks up.amanwithcrabs Thanks this. -
Why do people assume it would be a better rate?
-
I'm not assuming. Hoping maybe. The company I signed with pays less than they promised and they don't pay certain miles. It's a disappointment. I was once really excited to be a driver, now I'm reaching for a way to make a decent living. Super carriers are certainly not the way to go, just thought maybe there could be an owner operator out there who might be willing to pay someone to help them take on a bigger route.Rocknroller4 Thanks this.

There is a (team) driver wanted forum. Last year I posted a few times to it. But had no luck.

Ok, I'll say it (no offense intended)
No one wants to put "a man with crabs" in his truck, let alone a team driver.

You need to take care of that crab "situation" first....
... jus' sayin'...Jazz1 and Maj. Jackhole Thank this. -
amanwithcrabs must get plenty of traction on a dating site,IluvCATS and amanwithcrabs Thank this.

Lol I'm not a man nor do I have crabs. Call it a defense mechanism, and it upsets my dispatch people, as it is my email as well

No offense taken, I'm just a goofball with an off sense of humor. I hope no one here takes offense either.Last edited: Aug 25, 2018
