Triple Eight Transport

I work for the Vedder group. Can-Am does have a long haul/OTR flat deck fleet out of Abbotsford. Vedder tank guys in Abby don't stray too far but Calgary tank does do some long (3+ days one way) but mostly regional (1 - 2.5 day radius)

 

How about j&r hall. They got a place in delta I believe.

 

Here is what I know:
Bandstra and Van- Kam are cutting driver rates and losing drivers.
Can-am/Vedder pay well but don't take home time seriously - have been told by drivers always away from home and resets on the road, so it's ok if your single and don't care about family time.
I am still looking for a good unionized company to work for where are they?

 

I’ve seen more and more vedder coloured trucks with can-am on the door now... are they getting ready to shut can-am down?

 

I’ve still heard bandstra pays pretty decent. T-lane I’ve also heard is good

 

Triple Eight is a joke they will be broke in 5 years they don't answer the phone and when they do always very rude. The owners house was home invaded and family beaten can anyone say drug dealers

 

Yea, the power only contractor I worked for, was an off-shot of Triple-Eight. Needless to say, both of them are GONG SHOWS who will be bankrupt and most likely in prison soon. First and Last time I get involved with a company HQ'ed in BC. We also had a few Triple-Eight drivers at this place, and holy ####! They were downright scary dangerous! with the attitude to match. I also recently seen some Triple-Eight trucks stranded in Brandon MB, their fuel cards wouldn't work, and they couldn't get someone on the phone.

 

No just going with uniform colours. They recently bought some new decks, so I doubt they're winding that down anytime soon.

 

Ah ok. I feel sorry for the guys giving up those Pete’s for the western stars. Lol ugly trucks IMO. Milks moving like crazy from red deer down to the coast. I’ve got two buddy’s doing it right now for vedder under another company.

 

Talked to one of the drivers, never realized both owned by the same people
