I’m Really Trying

Like the Crete driver the other day telling me carrying a tire gauge doesn't do much good if you don't connect it to each tire. He wasn't as helpful when I asked him what to do with the airlines connected to each of the trailer's tires.

 

If you get bored you can always ponder how to strangle your dispatcher from 800 miles away and leave no DNA or cellphone evidence. Or that's what someone told me once.

 

They seldom irritate you more than 3-5 times per day, unless you give them your real name and phone number.

 

It’s called showing courtesy. Keeping the gap of safety wide.

 

Here I thought they were just afraid of trucks.

 

Nothing curtious about flipping up rocks that live on the other side of the fog line. Now I need to waste time replacing a windshield...

I got tired of satellite radio. The talk stations have so many commercial breaks and they're all the same commercials.

Also, very disappointed the Cinemagic movie themes channel went away. Now I grab film scores off YouTube Download.

 

If he is 79 and there to drive a 18 wheeler and has the necessary gingerbread and CDL to do it, then more power to him. That should be celebrated, not dismissed.

The market is one giant casino. You will do better in a actual gambling casino for your money chances. It is not good to be distracted by a bunch of different things. Trucking has nothing wrong with it. After a certain point you will stop driving. Hopefully to become a dispatcher or something else.

I grew up as a kid knowing I would be a trucker. Half my family was not going to accept that. (Tough...) and I'll die a trucker. Not a very good one overall but still. It is what it is. Not everyone gets to be Lord Muckamuck in life.
