Ive come to accept that the words professional and truck driver don't belong together. Its sad what has become 'normal' in this industry.

Well things begin to go the right way, after getting the commercial invoice, I drove to the border, went to customs and with the help of Livingston brokerage, cross the border in 2 hours, in transit bond cost $404.00. Went to Flying J in Calgary and slept there.
Today I drove to Edmonton, bought a Phone at Telus shop (Telus is the biggest mobile phone carrier in Canada) just to have data (Verizon phone works good for calls, not data outside big cities) and drove further to Grand Prairie, went to Walmart to buy some presents for friends and family and drove to Dawson Creek were Flying J does have a unmanned diesel pumps, filled the tanks full ($ $3.98 a gallon) and drove a little bit more to Tailor in BC, were I am right now spending the night, 1500 miles to go, planning to unload Tuesday noon, hope everything keeps going well. You all have a good night.20 Mule Team, Babjr, Lepton1 and 5 others Thank this. -
If you buy fuel in the Yukon you can file a return to get some of the fuel permit cost back. Tags in Watson Lake is one of the cheaper ones. Nisutlin Trading Post and Yukon Motel in Teslin have Diesel and showers.Whitehorse is usually high. Otterfalls has Diesel is open 24hrs and nice showers after that it gets pricey for fuel. Tok is a lot cheaper than Yukon. Anchorage is cheaper than Tok just add enough to make it down the hill. Glennallen is a lot more than Tok.
Is the Alcan open again it was closed for fires. Cassiar was closed as well.
Also make sure you stop at brake checks and log them. After Ft. Nelson watch out for buffalos all the way to Watson Lake. The herd a lot of times hangs around Liard River.CellNet, Sirscrapntruckalot, Lepton1 and 5 others Thank this. -

Its like a guy booking his first od load. 12 ft wide and waiting till he is loaded to start getting stuff ready to be legal. Happens all the time, i show up and start putting my banners on and checking with my escort to see if he is on schedule and the guy next to me doesn't even know he needs escorts or that it can take 2 days to get permits. -
Hats off to those of you that do that stuff. -
Are you there yet?
Aamcotrans, Lepton1 and UturnGirl Thank this.
