You'll be taught all that during orientation. Don't worry, you really like tanker work.

Hauling milk isn't a simple job; but you'll learn the intricacies of that during orientation and tanker training.
At least you won't have to listen to us old trashy reefer drivers complaining and griping at the truck stop coffee counter. -
Go flatbed if you want more work than driving and opening/closing doors. Might check around you might find a decent company to take you without a full yearLepton1 and DevJohnson Thank this.

James J. Williams hires Idaho drivers. Not sure, but you might like milk hauling better, dealing with dairy farmers and dairy farms. James J. Williams hauls dry bulk and liquid.
A typical tractor in our fleet is a late-model Kenworth less than 2 ½ years old with additional features such as an APU, inverter, built-in refrigerator, and more.

Jones Bros. Trucking in Missoula, Montana will probably hire him right now. Long haul, coast to coast and border to border. Extra pay if you will take a Canada load.

I did Reefer for a fleet contracted with Midwest Coast Transport. It was nothing special. I'm not sure if an occasional trailer sweep out is that big a deal. I actually wound up doing a fair amount of drop n' hook.
I also often got a lot of over loaded Potato trailers from a local farm. Trying to balance these out and playing with a 5th wheel slide would give you something to do I suppose, but I thought it was just an aggravating waste of time.
The one thing you might get out of Reefer is slow unload times that you can use to do something besides sitting at the wheel driving.
I suppose if you'd like to be busy you could look into Yard Spotting

I love tank work. It’s the best imo
Lepton1, homeskillet and VIDEODROME Thank this.
