LTL podcast?

I’ll start doing show preporation later today.

 

I started doing show prep, I have to buy some hardware though like a microphone and stuff.

 

During the infancy of podcasting (around 2008) there was a ABF driver out of Albuquerque NM who had a podcast called ABQ trucker. I don’t think I ever listened to it, and im not sure how long it lasted? A quick search reveals his shows have been taken down. Being a avid podcast listener I’ve seen many come and go. Most seem to be a labor of love (hard to monetize), especially niche shows. I often thought about starting a podcast about trucks and trucking history, but a 65+ hour work week, a wife and two kids, and a house that needs work leaves little time for extracurricular activities. After watching @Mike2633 ‘s YouTube CF episode I thought he should convert his trucking history posts into a podcast for guys who would rather listen than read, a audio book of sorts. Hi everyone, I got the microphone today and I got it set up I'm working on getting it all together it's going to take me sometime, to get the software editing down and what not, but I assure you it's coming along.

 

Audacity is a good free sound editor. Reaper is supposed to be good but I haven't used it yet.

 

Just wondering what happened with this? I probably listen to 4-6 hours of podcasts daily, I’d love to add a LTL show to the mix.

 

I have to put an episode together, I got side tracked with life, but I could maybe throw something together pretty quickly it wouldn't be fancy with fancy bumper music and stuff, but maybe I can do something. What happened was I bit off more then I could chew I was trying to put together a presentation that was maybe a bit above my current skill level. I was trying to make it sound like an AM radio talk show, with bumper music and everything and that's probably a tad to advanced for me at this point, I need to work up to that. So will get there.
