06 ISX CM870 head chipped

Replacing injectors on 06 isx noticed that head around intake valves start chipping on cylinders 12345 number 6 looks good. Any idea why I never see something like this before. I’ll post pics below.

    Also can’t adjust Jake brakes on cylinders 4 and 5 measure valve hight and it’s about 2.5 millimeters higher the other valve.

    Are you using the Cummins manual to do this work or just winging it? There is a procedure. The head looks fine to me. Cummins QuickServe Online

    Was like this when I open valve cover. It’s not my first injector job everything done by manual never tight any bolt without knowing torque specs

    Looks like a sloppy casting. I saw the same in my new head on my 871. I Installed it a couple of months ago. I wouldn't worry about it.
