I feel better now. If I get pulled I'm saying, "I drove an '08 cascades for three years and there were no splash guards!"
-
Well at the scales you could always just say oh opps i didn't know it had fallen off which does happen then they'll make you wait while you get it repaired assuming they'll notice it, or look around at some junk yards maybe you can pick up a pre - used one and bolt it on.

The only reason you would need to remove it just because you think it looks unsightly. There is absolutely no reason to have to have them on the truck other than to protect the back of the cab and that means nothing to a DOT officer. It would be no different than a truck originally having fuel tanks on both sides and to save some weight you took the fuel tank off the passenger side that you don't need any way
AModelCat and stillwurkin Thank this. -

Yes common name is quarter fender. Splash guard could be many things.

QC had a contract at a local company. Bought a bunch of FL daycab without any quarter fenders. Had to go through some gravel every day and in no time all of those trucks had cardboard where the back window used to be. lol
