I was making a turn in the truck stop parking lot. Had to wIt on a truck screaming through the lot. When I got back on the pedal I though the driveshaft broke?
No new trailer for me. Just a minor inconvenience. Maybe move it out to an 18’ pin?
I meen I’d have to fix this one even if I bought a new one. Learned along time ago not to let the current circumstances dictate purchases.
Lol, what else are you going to do? Sooner we start getting it handled the sooner it gets handled.
I’m glad I’m in a lot and parked safe. I’m close enough to home that the other trailer is only about 4 hours away. So far the locals ( road service, wrecker and trucks top ) have been friendly and helpful.
The plate is flat. Not all bowed up like I thought they get before they let go? Can’t really tell how bad the torn edges of the metal is?
Funny part is the wrecker said they pulled one in last week for exactly the same thing. Same brand trailer and everything.
Where is everyone #5

I always wondered if I could make something work. I just never seen it done on a curved glass style so I figured there must be a reason.
Already had the Y pipe and no muffler when I bought the truck.Zeviander, 4mer trucker, Hurricane69 and 8 others Thank this. -
Your cab will probably be hotter with the exhaust that runs up high. Some heat deflecting material would be money well spent to keep out some of the heat. If you swap styles of exhaust I can give you some info on the y pipes used (there are 2 different pipes).

Can't do that on an areocab sleeper unless you find some narrow mufflers, I have yet to find them myself. I ran my exhaust like peterbilt does with a 36 in muffler under neath with no turn back. Takes the bark out of it but still a good rumble.Zeviander, Hurricane69, BigBob410 and 11 others Thank this.

I seen guys w 10" pipes on a aerocab: never gave much thought to the cab width but you're right it's wider.
.....so, what you do is; get the mufflers up the side, then call up David at DAK chrome and have the OCD guys make you up a set of new mirror brackets, +2" wider than stock. Last I asked they were only like $650 a set.
Now thinking like that, is how I talk myself into a lot bigger project than I ever had in the first place lolZeviander, 4mer trucker, Hurricane69 and 13 others Thank this. -
They used to be common. Now, there’s just too many weirdos out here...on both sides.
But back in the day...?
2-3am, rolling down the road, you would hear a woman on the radio and she wouldn’t get offended if you asked for a hooter shot. Especially if she was in a 4. Talk about an eye opener. “WOW BABY!”
Now, back before the mid 90s, in the days of the performance enhancer drugs, you would hear a female driver on the radio with a golden voice. Watch out, driver. I worked at the same company. Can’t remember her handle... but she would get drivers all hot and bothered. Thing is, she looked like Friar Tuck. Big fat, walking bale of hay, hair on the sides to her shoulders, completely bald on top...basically the same hair style as Hulk Hogan. And she had one tooth in the side of her head hiding in wait like that wood beast thing from FlashGordon.
You would hear her down in Florida and drivers were all swearing their undying love and devotion. It was eerie, like the sirens in Greek mythology, hideous monster that feeds on unsuspecting men.Zeviander, 4mer trucker, Hurricane69 and 15 others Thank this. -
Had that happen running cross indy one time. Kept listening to all the drivers yaping bout this female driver nude waist up. They were all over it. So i Cruz ed by them all till I was beside her.......ugliest gal I ever did see....i mean UGLY !! that was one time I didn't care if I got a speeding ticket and glad I had the gears to run away !.....i would of told the cop the reason and I'm pretty sure I would of maybe got a warning !! Back when my now wife and I were sparking after each other....
We were out riding with a freind on our Harley's. Coming through St. Albans on 60 we were stopped at a light. My buddy and I were side by side and my wife to be behind us waiting for a green light. Drop top Mustang in front of us with 2 girls in it, I noticed they were giggling and looking over their shoulders. Light turns green and the passenger jumps up in the seat turned backwards and set those puppies free.... both of them perky little puppies with the cutest little noses, for a split second we forgot where we were and who was with us..... yea she brought it to my attention later!!
Late 80's we had loaded at Armco in Ashland, KY. There was 4 of us loading for Middletown, Ohio. Rolling up 52 and the CB came alive.... y'all got to see this!!! See what???? Little car with the dome light on... look at it!!! look what he's doing... dirty blonde was laid back on the seat with her head in the door rest with one leg over the back of the seat. I guess he had hurt his finger
... she was administering first aid by letting him soak it "in cider"....
yea it's different now for sure

Kenworth at one time offered wider mirror brackets that were a factory option They are listed on the build sheet as 102” mirror brackets. The cost? IDK They were on a truck I bought used.
Aren’t 6, 7, 8 inch pipes narrow mufflers? No need for a 10” diameter upright muffler.
About females displaying body parts and talents. Later today I can’t be thinking about stuff right now.Zeviander, 4mer trucker, Hurricane69 and 7 others Thank this.
