I'm trying to get some weight off....been here since two...gonna be awhile yet.

 

Another day in the boring life of a day-cabber. Ate lunch at a god awful place.

On the way back, I'm going through the agricultural inspection station just on the other side of the California border. I have my window down to soak in the coastal air, and I have some heavy metal blasting from the speakers. As I roll through the lane for CMV's, the nearest inspection officer is looking at me kind of funny as he waves me through. I waved back by flashing the devil horns at him. The look on his face after that was priceless.

Gotta have fun while werkin, I say.

 

@Czar_Zero how heavy we talking here? Pantera/Judas Priest or Behemoth/Gorgoroth?

Was sitting at a table with a bunch of skaters when this cute Swift girl walks in, goes up to a vending machine and starts scraping change together to get some food. Young, female driver, no drama, not seeking attention, not begging, but you could tell she was starving. She didnt have enough money to get one of those Ramen noodle things. I call out to her, "Hey Swift, come here." She walks over and I pull out a chair, "Sit". I hand her a menu and call the waitress over. She ate her food and stayed with us, laughed at the flatbed war stories. Brand new driver, just starting her solo gig and waiting for money. She was alot of fun to be with.

Talk about a strange group. We probably looked like Snow White and the 7 Dirty Flatbedders.

Made it back up north to reload. Manager pulled in right behind me and let me in the gate.

Now I can grab a nap before the loader gets here.

 

Nada. Parked behind him. He’s on hometime from what I can tell
