Not sure? I typically put em on the best hole for "ride quality".

This is one thing I love about Florida. Don't worry about the axle weights. It is of no concern. Just move that tandem away from the back of the trailer.

Only in the warehouse yard i've seen lots of shunt trucks do it all the time then leave it fully extended for the poor old driver that's got to take it out to make the delivery to slide it back.

Oregon and Wash. could not care less where you tandems are as long as you are legal on all axles or groups of axles.

Lazy, really? You've never hauled scrap paper out west I guess.

We don't run paper out west. Generally bear island doswell or south arkansas paper to Iowa printers is about as far as it got.

It would be better for us all if you explained how hauling scrap paper make drivers not lazy or really lazy. That way I can understand if you are being good or bad.

In the east the depths to which a lazy driver avoids any work other than holding a steering wheel can be very creative.

I can’t believe some of these post.
There is absolutely no reason to run tandems all the way to the rear no matter your payload weight.
Either some don’t understand the concept or your trailers are not being loaded right.

Only reason to have them to the rear is backing into a tight hole so no wiggle at the end
