I don't really know completely. I'm worried I won't know for sure when it comes time to do it either. Do I really want to be in a position to say I CAN'T haul something or other to a rare state?
How much on average per state? Do most just get a 48 state tag and be done with it?
Thanks.
App plates VS Standard plates?

Call the State DOT office for the state you need to go in. They can tell you what you need to do and what it will cost. A trip permit may be all it takes.

The radius is set for the majority of the loads, with the understanding that some straying is tolerated. There were some specific states specified in the policy, but it wasn't my impression that it would have an impact on how many states I could legalize on my plate.
-
I only went with the states I needed for my normal work,....In the year I was in business I only missed out on one load that one of my customers had that came from outside my radius,.... -
My radius is also 500 miles. But, I'm looking at the load board right now, and I see a load going from NM to FL.
And this is end dump! I don't know what it's hauling, but that seems awefully far to bring some dirt or rocks.
I don't see how I'm realistically going to be able to adhere to that radius. -
500 mile radius is all I needed to start,..I was hoping to get rid of the Detroit run after my first year and stay closer to local,...
If you can't find work inside of your 500 mile radius,...Don't buy a truck until you have experience,... -
Wow... my insurance agent didn't seem quite as concerned. The radius isn't because of inexperience, I can get a nationwide plan. We just figured it for the usual practical run for some cost savings. He assured me that a claim would be paid outside the radius but not to make it a habit.
That particular run is 1500 miles, but since NC is central, it would only be so many miles outside the zone on either end. I'll ask some more questions, but the problem can be solved two ways, either run me in the radius or expand my policy. -
Wtf. Does nobody find it odd that this
