Couldn't pass ABF pulling doubles on the flats. ODFL has always been faster. You guys get your trucks bumped up recently? Never had that happen before.
I closed in going down a hill, moved to hammer lane expecting to pass like always, then got stuck side by side. He was kind enough to back off so I could get around him. We run 65 mph trucks, but do have 70 mph trucks for certain runs. This ABF was pacing me at 65. Never seen ABF go 65.
ABF turned up trucks?

Yes, ABF is turning up to 65 as a response to ELDs. I applaud the move, personally. Let those guys make a little more money per hour.
Bob Dobalina Thanks this. -
Our trucks go 65. I only see ABF and OD going the other way lol.
I got passed by a fxf truck the other day, but it would have taken about twelve miles if I hadn’t backed off. Must’ve had new drive tires. That driver probably saved at least fifteen seconds at the end of the day by not just following me.JOHNQPUBLIC, Bob Dobalina and 06driver Thank this. -
truck_guy, Oldironfan and De Trucker Thank this.
