I'm a Canadian o/o leased to a carrier. I dropped in SC last night and had a load to pick up this am. Overnight my mom in law passed. My company has no loads going direct home or anywhere near, continuing with my load wouldn't get me home until Thursday. So I'm bobtail.
How far can I go with your pc? Do I have to take 10 hrs at night? Can I run my 11 then a couple more pc and call it a day? I'd like to be home sure day night or Monday am.
Thanks.fargonaz Thanks this. -
Condolences. I'd do what I felt I had to do, and the log book; well... you know.wore out Thanks this.

Ya, I did the when my mom passed a bunch of years ago. With the ankle bracelets tho you can't make it look right when you get home. I lose $ from my safety bonus if I have violations. Was going to stop at a scale and ask but being Saturday they are all closed so far.

Don't tempt the devil.

I haven't done anything wrong...yet. better to stop and ask first then to be stopped after I assume? They can go up one side down the other right now I'm good.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no defined limit on personal conveyance as it relates to time or distance. You clearly are not moving a load because you have no trailer. It’s apparent that you’re not making this trip for the benefit of the motor carrier.wore out, fargonaz and Elroythekid Thank this.

Just go till you personally have to stop to sleep I'd say, anybody who gives you grief about hos in that situation needs to be fired, like out of a cannon.ZVar and Elroythekid Thank this.

Do I have to take 10 then?
