Not only do they smell of a year old uncleaned urinal, but the trash left behind by lazy people who are so disgusting, fat, lazy, disrespectful, and discourteous they cannot even walk to a trash can 10-15 feet away. Just open up their passenger door of the truck and let the trash just flow out. This is part of why, many wally worlds, and shipper/receivers will not allow trucks on their property anymore. It is sad the state of our industry has become.

I just found a coffee cup stop in steele, ND . No soap in showers .
Also the new new pilot in Mandan , ND no soap dispenser but you get a small soap disk. -
sometimes the truckstop i make a stop at, has no roller dogs (fresh ones at least), at 1 AM...
fresh foods "ready to go", ought to be well stocked at all hours of the day.Oldironfan Thanks this. -
And quality hot dogs only . Some stops have Nathan's beef dogs. I see holiday has them now.
Loves are the worst rubber dogs ever.Sirscrapntruckalot and buddyd157 Thank this. -
The biggest issue I have is the crap food, or lack there of. I miss the mom and pops with real restaurants. And real food.

Okay, if you are really concerned for your drivers, how about a fridge, microwave and a hearty perdiem to every driver? That would provide better options when it comes to food. Satellite radio and/or tv antenna wouldn't hurt anyone either.

Not many 24 hour dinners now days.buddyd157 Thanks this.

True. I see families in truck stops, kids running around, old man comes in to buy a 12 pack....
Im there on business not to hang out. Add up those 5-10 minutes waiting behind someone buying a pack of cigs over the course of a month.
Solution?
Drivers only area/lanes, similar to what they have at some Loves. Yet I still see people coming to the back and buying 1 or 2 items to hold up Drivers.

There usually dirty, filthy to small and everyone parks where there not supposed to blocking other truck drivers.

Well since you're already aware of the parking shortage, as many others have stated, lack of decent food is probably the single biggest problem with truck stops today. If you want to help your drivers out and attract higher quality employees that will stay with you, install refrigerators and a microwave with APU's on the trucks in your fleet so they can buy better quality and much less expensive food they can prepare themselves. Also, pay attention to industry wages and make sure that you are offering a fair wage for the work performed.Lite bug, americantrucker89, TylerHarris96 and 1 other person Thank this.
