Where is everyone #5

I'm a big Josey Wales fan. When they are thinking of messin with you, tell them Dyin aint much of a livin, boy.

 

Yesterday was the clearest blue sky I hadn't seen in a long time. It is getting better here.

 

Air quality is hanging out around 100 or so here. Still pretty bad.

 

@sawmill i was driving along yesterday and spotted a little seedling tree in the ditch and noticed the top of it was covered and bending it over. Upon closer inspection it was covered thick with bees.

Do you know why they would do such a thing? I never seen anything like it. The bee guys do have beehives scattered throughout the countryside but none really close to this group, that I know of anyways.

 

Looks like a swarm to me. Somewhere those bees out grew where they were and took off. A good beekeeper should be able to collect them and get them into a hive box.

 

I should add that bees will normally fly a mile or more, that swarm may have come from beyond that range.

 

What makes them huddle up on that tree like that?

 

They're protecting the queen.
