As soon as you tell your prospective drivers
That your running internationals with a maxforce
Engines there gonna hang up on you.
The only ones that will listen after that
Can't get a job anyplace else.

There junk, thats why you got them so cheap.
You have no idea how many problems those trucks have.

thank you, at least you are giving me a good point, I would love to start myself first and learn, and learned a bunch from the taxi company I owned, Every person I hired at my taxi company had no job and had 10 people, most of them felons, drug addicts and so called friends at the time, I could not get on FT Drum because of security reasons, I was 25 and stupid and thought I knew how to run a business, and I might still be, an idiot with this IDK, but now business wise plus having a property and atm route, I might look at doing landstar with 1 truck as they said I only need 1yr experience which I am about at, maybe run 1 truck with them with me driving for a few months then put the other one on knowing a bit more with the oo side of things, whether that is under possibly a bigger percentage wise company or landstar or me getting my own authority and building relationships with these brokers and using a factoring company or going straight to new companys that may need a little freight here and there moved, and what each offers. Again not trying to screw anyone over and will get with my cpa and hire a lawyer at the right point but was just looking for good advice to get started, not negative energy when I am just a human trying to make something, also looking at the freight brokerage industry, where I can broker loads if I did just get my own authority as a freight brokers authority at 75 surety bond and other expenses and can call companies which I already have such as amazon, tyson, and target, and leave brokers/agents such as ch robbinsion, or dat,...etc and I fibbed a bit and told them at the point I had 3 trucks way b4 I had any trucks and they told me how to get into the bidding process with them and some might require 15 trucks or so. Again I still work at Swift lmao, I know, and have multiple investments, I was not looking to screw anyone and have a bit of capital from saving since I was I was in group homes most of my life and worked my butt of off to be where I am. Any more advice is much appreciated thank you

Its not a junk trunk and again I have 2, the international and the freightliner, can't say what the future is gonna be for either of them but the International right now is a really good running truck right now as well as the freightliner, I have put money into both to make sure they are good...now if something happens in the future, that should be no problem and I will get them fixed....

I’d sell the Prostar and put a driver in the freight shaker. W2 is a must and pay by the mile.

See how it goes and reassess from there. If your not profitable with one truck, your not going to be profitable with two trucks.

Ok so, I have gotten from starting this post that both my trucks are junk, which I know they are not, I almost feel like any truck I bought, Volvo, Peter, Ken, Freight, Int..etc, they will all be junk even though lots of companies run freight and Int, sorry for asking for advice here, I am the idiot though that is 27 and owns a duplex and 2 trucks and an atm machine route, and multiple large cap stocks that I receive quarterly dividends, I was only looking for some advice on my best way on starting a fleet, did not need all the negative comments just others that were successful and were willing to give a bit of advice. I have put over 6 figures in my bank account now at 27, and was looking for another investment opp, Idk but thanks, maybe I can help out others in other ventures that I have I went into such as flipping cars, real estate, and routes,....with out being so negative. Only looking for advice here. Thank you and have a blessed day!

Ok what are you running? My trucks are in optimal condition, any truck can go down, but I could put the most into my truck and they r great right now, and maybe you skip pm's and your truck goes down, don't down me I am just trying to get started and yes the truck is in great condition, but if stuff happens I can have it fixed or possibly just finance/lease another truck. thank you but tell me your experience first b4 judging me. I have about 100k-125 to my money and another 100k-250k crd lines to work with..... thank you

And a Max force engine will take it all sir....you didn't do your homework that engine almost bankrupted international and most lenders will not even finance against that engine....2. you have two cheap trucks and crap for experience one bad driver will clear out every asset you have in an accident buy a large umbrella policy because you do not have the experience to know if you are being bullahitted or hiring an experienced quality hand....and on the experienced hand issue without something to offer like good equipment a dedicated lane/ account etc you can not afford a better driver leased on to a mega....have you looked at the going rate for a good driver it is 80k plus benefits that you can't offer.....
But you will learn good luck sir I can tell you where to find 10 maxforce powered trucks for 80k but they don't drive themselves

Yes I have two trucks now one with a yellow motor I drive one with a green motor that has a driver.....we run dedicated home twice a week and I pay my driver a touch over 80k a year on a W-2...been in this game 10 years driven 13 learned a lot of lessons the hard way ...I pay top dollar so I can get a better driver that I know personally I have had drivers turn a profitable lane into crap and it happens fast .

I have had a few friends with maxforce engines they are worse than the yugos of our generation . It is not personal try talking to a mechanic about a maxforce if you don't junk it within a year it will be a minor miracle

thanks for the input, I spent tons of money on my first company, and I am still here and went from nothing to over 100k in my bank account through other investments, does not matter again, like you said I will figure it out, and I am a risk taker, made 100k put away by 26, thank you for your advice again and have a great day
