Ehh. Before the pay cut, it was fine. We drove at night, so we made a pretty consistent $36 per hour while driving. We felt that 7% giveback, though.skinnytrucker and speedyk Thank this.

In 2013, the Teamsters voted to give 7% of their pay back to the company, and one week's vacation.
I was gone within a couple years. There was no reason for that giveback. -
That blows. Was the company considering dropping the union or something?LtlAnonymous Thanks this.
-
No. They claimed YRC's paycut was making it very difficult for them to compete in LTL, got the give back, and then went on a $200 million shopping spree for non-union companies.
So in essence the Teamsters voted to help ABF get rid of the union with their assistance. -
Years ago ABF was governed at 57. All the way across Nebraska.LtlAnonymous Thanks this.

That would've been unbearable. Like when my dad worked for Schneider, they were set to 55. There's just no way. LolMACK E-6 and Bob Dobalina Thank this.
