Stopped not a problem. Moving is a violation of policy.

We face a lot of challenges maneuvering through our customers. Way better to be paying attention, than yacking away on the phone.

As soon as a vehicle is in motion, all phones in that vehicle should automatically be disabled. Calls and messages could be checked at rest areas, etc.

Think about how much safer the highways would be. Just my opinion.

I know I would feel safer knowing that all the passengers on a bus, train, airplane or ferry boat have a locked phone.

Busses, trains, airplanes, and ferry boats have Wi-Fi so they can post their insipid twatfaceinstasnap pathetic lives.

What would mellinials do without constant communication. Oh yeah live in the real world instead of that fantasy space of social media.

Just a few minutes ago I was heading west on I 40 in New Mexico somewhere around the 290 to 288 mile marker when all of the sudden I saw a huge cloud of red dust framing a white semi headed my direction in the median. Thankfully, he came to a stop in the median without making it to the westbound lanes. He kept it upright, and he was just opening his door as I passed. Not sure what happened, but it was just another reminder of how quickly things can go wrong. Another couple hundred yards and he could have taken out me along with the semi behind me. Be safe out there drivers!

Thats kinda what I was thinking. Ive had several steer axle blows. Most of them blew out the sidewall. That one looks as though it may have blown on the tread, course anythings possible.

A witness said the driver was sitting on the side of the road and told him a steering axle tire popped

The driver survived. A witness found him sitting on the scene, and was quoted in a news story as saying the driver told him a steer tire blew.

FMCSA took tires for investigation. Hopefully they will come with some regulation to stop marketing allcrap illegally marked "DOT approved" and enforce. Lights, tires, parts.
