You can take that negativity and turn it into positivity, they showed you what does not work for them, but since every person on this planet is different what worked for them might work for you,

Every company I worked for, the first remarks I heard from other drivers is, "You're going to regret working here." I always asked how long they've been there and it was usually several years or a couple of decades and then they would say, "But, I'm looking and won't be here much longer."

I knew a female driver who was worried about driving in the snow. Hourly driver. Had to go over a mountain to get to her destination. She called me up and asked me what to do.
I told her to go ahead and go to work. You're getting paid by the hour, every hour until you get back home. Carry an overnight bag and go. If they close the mountain down, go to a motel.
She calls me back and tells me that another female driver told her how bad it would be and not to come in to work. So, she calls in and tells her boss she cant make it in. Then she found out that the other female went in to work. -
There might be loyalty if them companies were loyal to the employees but they know the workers are a dime for a dozen so the workers are discarded quickly. It should not be a one way street.bigguns and Slowpoke KW Thank this.

I personally can’t stand the phrase: “Well everyone else is doing it”. I could give a rat’s behind about what everyone else is doing. My high school classmates could not understand why I wasn’t bother by standing alone on an issue. I was told as early as 7 years of age that ‘I listened to a different drummer’. I didn’t get paddled, scolded or disciplined often either. Being a sheeple isn’t for everyone for sure.

Anyone remember the Burmashave signs? They always had wit and wisdom. If you aren't familiar, Google it.
On a two lane road in Texas there's a rancher that put up a series of signs that got my attention:
Choices become habits
Habits become character.
Character becomes destiny.
What is YOUR destiny?
One piece of advice I think everyone should follow is straight from my father, may he RIP:
NEVER get in the habits of a quitter.
A quitter is quick to listen to negative comments. A quitter starts looking for reasons to quit a job on the first day. A quitter CHOOSES to decide the worst of ANY situation.
Choose a better destiny by choosing better habits.
