Dohrn Transfer Linehaul Driver? Central Illinois

    I see they hiring for linehaul in my area and I was wondering if any current Dohrn drivers(especially in the central Illinois area) could provide me with some insight before I apply.

    So I went ahead and put my application in Monday and I had my interview today. They told me plenty of things that sounded good to me and even though the pay is on the low end for LTL its still a lot more than what I'm getting now. As for equipment they had a couple of 2017 Macks on the lot(all Dohrn trucks in this area are Macks it seems like).Anyways the interview went good and I'm waiting for them to call back about the physical and drug test.

    Nah, I live in Central IL. You applying at Litchfield or Decatur? I know they pay better than they did a few years ago, equipment looks newer, although every once in awhile I still see a swing door trl, maybe they use them at drop/hooks. Place I pick up at occasionally has a drop/hook with Dohrn. Almost went to work for them couple years ago but passed.

    I applied at Decatur,seems like a real laid back place compared other companies in the area.

    @DTP wasn't very happy there, but I didn't wanna speak for him. He is the one who started the 'Linehaul drivers wait time' thread. I think that was some of his problem. The other may be lower pay vs. other LTLs, but I can't remember.

    When i get home for the weekend ill see if the gf still has her sheet from the recruiters when she went through schooling. I heard things were on the up and up like updating the equipment, read somewhere about their partnership with pitt-ohio.

    As for your area specifically i cant tell you what its like. Only contact i have would be familiar with the rock island location.
