hi all.
How hard is Michigan with its steer limits?
I’ve got 12220 on my steers, 27860 on my drives and 34740 on my trailer. The rear axle is as far up as it can go and I thought I might try to dump at least a couple of hundred pds into my steers.....IF Michigan is known for going with what the tires are rated for Instead of the general weight.
I’m fairly far from the shipper....so, the only other option is to take some backroads....
Anyone has experience with MI/IN scales?

Slide them back , Michigan's kingpin is 40.5 center of rear axle.
That will take the weight off your tandem. Of course you'll need to re weigh.Justrucking2 and Oldironfan Thank this. -

Yep. Big brain fart on my part. It worked.
@ 33580 after moving truck forward four holes....that’s about 290 per spot...jumped one ahead and that’ll put me at 33900....and just at the 40.5’ of The centre axle from king pin.
Hope this helps other clucks too.Bean Jr., Trucking in Tennessee and driverdriver Thank this. -

Type in MICHIGAN KINPING LAW into your browser and you'll get several results you can sift through. -
Michigan is not less than 37' AND not more than 41' from kingpin to center of rear axle group.

I don't think any Michigan truck carrier follows that rule.
