It’s not 5 star but an omelet or a chicken melt with a double order, scattered, smothered, covered is a decent supper in a pinch.
-
Gonna try the cheesesteak

What’s on your hash browns? Put some of their Waffle House sauce on that cheesesteak.

Try their hash brown bowl thingy.
Best Waffle House I ever went to, somewhere in @shogun neck of the woods. 3am, I walk in for breakfast before I ride... big big muscular black woman(?) running the flat top and a typical white boy southern guy running the register.
“Welcome to Waffle House!”
Best breakfast I ever had from a Waffle House. Don’t know how those two worked together, Polar opposites as far as stereotypes go, but boy could they serve me some good food. -
Been gone a few days. Labor Day festivities and what not. Spent yesterday putting all new brakes and rotors on the Honda Pilot I bought as a daily. Just because you buy a car from a regional manager from Oreilly’s and they get huge parts discount doesn’t mean they replace parts like they should. (99% of people suck at car maintenance IMHO)
Every shoe was unevenly worn, the rotors were somewhat grooved and warped from overtightening lug nuts, and they couldn’t get the rotors off so they were original. To cut this novel short, let’s just say it’s all fixed and stopping a lot better with all pads making full contact.
@stwik, I love the chocolate chip waffles, but by 9 am its lunch time. So I get the patty melt and the hash browns plain with ketchup, shredded hash browns are my favorite. I also really like Cracker Barrel hash brown casserole. -

Those cams only have about 15 psi of oil pressure supply in the head. It’s way too low, combined with the soot loading and valvetrain geometry problems due to it, some people suggest shimming the oil pump to get it a few more psi. Volvo D13 liked to soot load the rocker shafts and get the geometry out, then one or two lobes would gall and sound like an exhaust leak tapping. Pull the cover and .010 was now .025.
Cheapest preventative maintenance is shimming the pump, then run a lower soot oil like 10w30 and a good filtration system. Those cams replaced are $10k I hear on an ISX. Paccar motor’s are sensor nightmares from what I have experienced in limited time.Al. Roper, Shock Therapy, SAR and 10 others Thank this. -
Dad got pretty mad at me one time when he found one of his 5/16 open end (Craftsman) cut in half so I could use it to tighten the header bolt by the firewall on my 79 ElCamino. It was the only way to get the bolt tight since the car wasn’t supposed to fit headers, and I’m not NOT going to run headers on a small block in Mississippi. What would people think?
I don’t think I ever bought him another one either, LOL.PoleCrusher, Al. Roper, Shock Therapy and 19 others Thank this. -
Lmfao...
Just like my 7/16 header bolt specialty tool for my old 1978 Z-28.
PoleCrusher, Shock Therapy, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 17 others Thank this.
